Opportunity for Impact
fca bible
According to one report, 5.9 million youth between the ages of 6-17 play baseball in America. There were 478,029 high school boys’ baseball programs in the United States in 2009. Add in all the players and coaches in the collegiate and professional ranks, and one can readily see the tremendous opportunity to make an impact for Jesus Christ in the baseball community.

Resource Development

FCA Baseball will develop resources to help our FCA staff and volunteers better minister in the Baseball Community. The FCA Baseball New Testament is our first such resource with the testimonies of twenty athletes and coaches. We are also developing a series of Team Devotionals written specifically for the Baseball Community.

Coaches Ministry

Our role is to minister to baseball coaches by encouraging and equipping them to know and better serve Christ through the sport of baseball. FCA Baseball ministers to coaches by getting them connected to FCA Baseball events across the country and coordinating local Baseball Bible Studies, prayer support, and r12 baseball coaches groups. FCA Baseball also empowers FCA staff and volunteers to establish a strategic presence at national and local baseball Coaches Conventions.

Youth Baseball Camps and Clinics
FCA Baseball works with FCA staff and volunteers on developing youth baseball camps and clinics in their cities to minister to the youth baseball community. Called Up Baseball Camps is a ministry of FCA Baseball's Southern California Division. FCA Baseball ministers to youth baseball players across the nation by integrating Bible curriculum and camp themes along with strong baseball instruction.

Collegiate Ministry

The Niagara Power of Niagara Falls, NY and the So. Cal Catch of Southern California are collegiate baseball teams that represent FCA. Niagara began playing in the New York Collegiate Baseball League the summer of 2007 and the Catch will open in the Calipowerfornia Collegiate League in 2013. These teams provide opportunities for furthering baseball skills and abilities of college players while also emphasizing the importance of character, integrity, and excellence in baseball and in the community. The core objective of these teams is to provide college baseball players and coaches the opportunity to exercise and to grow in their faith on and off the diamond. In addition to playing games before hometown crowds throughout June and July, small group Bible studies and daily chapel speakers prepare and build players and coaches for the game of life from a Biblical perspective. The platform players have allows them to share their faith at youth camps, clinics, with visiting teams after home games, and in church services on Sundays.
