WHAT WE STAND FOR
FROM A PARENT
"This is a brilliantly conceived ministry. We see this camp evangelizing to non-Christian players and their families. You also reinforce the truth and excitement of the Gospel in the lives of players from Christian family. Just as important, you are training the young men who are coaches how to evangelize and mentor others. You do all this without sacrificing the baseball training side of the camp. Clayton really improved his baseball skills and we see how the level of baseball skills taught in this camp can really draw non-Christian players."

OUR MISSION
Our Mission at FCA Baseball Called Up Camps is to facilitate an environment where kids can learn and grow in their love for the game of baseball while receiving encouragement in their spiritual walk.
We accomplish this by offering a high level of professional instruction. We also take time each day of camp to do Bible time and character development.
A GREATER PURPOSE
In baseball everybody wants to be "Called Up". Whether it be from J.V. to Varsity or from minor league ball to the major leagues, every player desires that call.
The truth is that we all have been given a "Call Up". When Jesus Christ died on the cross He not only saved us from our sin, but offered us an invitation to be with Him forever in Heaven (Romans 10:9).
While it is important to give it our best on the playing field, when we die it won't matter how many homeruns we hit or how many strikeouts we accumulated. What will matter, is whether we accepted "The Call" from the creator of the universe.
NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
It is important to us at Called Up to teach our players that developing discipline and character can greatly impact their life beyond the game. Baseball is a great environment to develop these values. As much as I love the game of baseball there is much more to life than baseball. Reaching professional baseball, my career lasted longer than most, but it eventually came to an end.
At Called Up camps we teach each player to love the game and play it to the best of their ability. We also teach the kids that there is something beyond baseball that we should put our faith and hope in. Baseball is a great game but a terrible God. If we put our hope and faith in the game of baseball it will let us down. Whether it’s a strikeout, getting cut from the team, or a career ending injury, we have to put baseball in its rightful place. When a player can understand this, only then will they truly beprepared for what pitch might be thrown their way.
We look forward to having your player enjoy our camp, our staff, and the knowledge they will take from being with us! It will be an experience they will never forget.
HOW DID WE GET HERE?
HISTORY OF FCA CALLED UP BASEBALL
FCA Called Up Baseball Camps started as the Hansen and Orr pitching clinics back in 1999. In 2001 the first Ben Orr Baseball Camp took place at Biola University. Ben's goal in creating the camp came when he was sitting in a church service one Sunday. Ben had a desire to use his platform as a pro baseball player to impact the youth in his community. He wanted to create an environment where kids would not only get great coaching from college and professional baseball players and coaches, but they would also see how to live a life that would glorify God and bring them success beyond the playing field.
